Skeletons? I thought Halloween was over?!

Our Safety, Health & Wellbeing Business Partner, Vera Figueiredo, was the first to try on an exoskeleton suit brought to Manor Fresh for a trial aimed at reducing the impact on colleagues’ as they move product around our potato packhouse.

Andre Jutel from German Bionics Systems, suppliers of “smart wearable tools” brought the device for Vera and some of our colleagues to try out. It’s designed to reduce the physical impact on the body of lifting by compensating for some of the weight normally lifted by the colleague through a powered exoskeleton, reducing the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.

We’re always looking at ways of improving Safety, Health and Wellbeing for our valued onemanorfresh colleagues and will evaluate the trial with interest!
