Job role: Multiskilled Engineer

Monday to Friday

Shift times are between 15:30 - 24:00 OR 18:00 - 02:30

We now have an opportunity for an MSE with electrical bias and mechanical knowledge to join the Engineering function in a stand-alone role on the backshift, making efficient use of all available resources to assist the operational teams in achieving their goals through maximising the efficiency of the site plant and machinery and ensuring minimum downtime.

Key Tasks Include:

• Comply with all requirements relating to health and safety, food safety and product quality.
• Provide engineering support to operations to ensure efficient performance of site plant and machinery.
• Ensure that engineering downtime is kept to a minimum. Where possible working within planned downtime arranged in conjunction with operations to ensure operations can meet daily schedules.
• Help to minimise production downtime by following an effective PPM schedule across all plant and equipment.
• Contribute fully to continuous improvement (CI) in business performance.
• Ensure that accurate and meaningful work and service records are kept of all work carried out.
• Contribute to tidiness of engineering stores and ensure accurate records.
• Manage contractors and suppliers when on site, as instructed by the Engineering Manager.

Person Specification:

• Fully qualified multi skilled engineer.
• Strong understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
• Understanding of PLC and computer-controlled equipment.
• Experience of PPM schedules.
• Strong interpersonal skills at all levels internally and externally.
• A conscientious, punctual and reliable team player.
