Compliance and Packaging Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting compliance with all legal, customer, and group standards from raw materials through to final delivery. The role will be involved in areas such as quality systems, food safety, product integrity, and training, helping to ensure everything is kept up to date and audit-ready. Additionally you will provide administrative support to the Packaging Buyer as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and carry out annual reviews of all food safety procedures and records (like HACCP) to ensure ongoing compliance with legal and
  customer requirements.
• Maintain and oversee the site pre-requisite programmes, including pest control, workwear, and cleaning chemicals, ensuring they are effective and compliant with company requirements.
• Assist with customer and certification audits, including BRCGS, M&S, and the Soil Association, and maintain the internal audit programme using both paper-based and electronic systems as required.
• Ensure all relevant staff training records are regularly reviewed and kept up to date, advising managers when refresher or new training is required in line with standard operating procedures.
• Provide administrative support to the Packaging Buyer and cover holidays where required, including monitoring packaging stock and
  usage, and completing month-end stock takes.

Essential:

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Package and ERP systems).
• Flexible approach to working, as the role may include occasional
  weekends when required.

Desirable:

• Higher education or equivalent experience.
• Qualifications; Food Safety Level 3, HACCP Level 3, Auditor training and
  experience with BRC Issue 9 and supermarket standards.
